The Process
1. Initial Consultation
We begin with a relaxed, no-obligation conversation about your site, ideas, and budget expectations. It’s an opportunity to determine whether we’re the right fit and to give you clarity about the journey ahead.
2. Project Review & Fee Proposal
I undertake a preliminary review of your site and the applicable planning controls, overlays, and constraints that may influence the project. You’ll then receive a clear, staged fee proposal outlining scope and inclusions, so everything is understood before moving forward.
3. Establishing the Brief
Before design begins, we take the time to clearly define your brief. This determines how the home should function, feel, and respond to its setting. This ensures the design direction is grounded in your priorities from the outset.
4. Concept Design
An initial design response is developed based on the agreed brief and the realities of the site. We refine layout and form together until the direction feels resolved and aligned.
5. Design Development
The concept is developed into a more detailed and coordinated design. Key dimensions, materials, and structural considerations are resolved before documentation begins.
6. Consultant Coordination
I engage and coordinate surveyors, engineers, energy assessors, and other relevant specialists. Their input is integrated to ensure compliance and buildability.
7. Documentation & Approvals
Detailed drawings and supporting documentation are prepared for submission to the relevant authority. I manage the approval process and respond to requests for further information as required.
8. Builder Handover
Once approvals are in place, a complete, builder-ready documentation package is issued for pricing and construction. I remain available to clarify details during the transition to the building phase.
